Plenty River Dr, Greensborough

Main Bathroom

This family bathroom was already a dream canvas, thanks to a pitched roof and generous wall-to-wall highlight timber windows that flood the space with natural light. The brief was to update the dated ‘blue’ bathroom, introducing warm, lighter tones to create a fresh, calming, and open space with improved flow.

By removing the hob bath and dark-framed shower, and replacing them with a corner curved bath, wall-hung vanity, and fully tiled semi-framed shower, we visually opened up the floor, making the room feel instantly larger. Clever practical storage was added without changing the footprint, including a shower and bath niche, as well as a recessed shaving cabinet.

Aesthetically, the subtle warm terrazzo-look floor tiles and smooth lappato wall tiles pair beautifully with the coastal oak woodgrain finish of the wall-hung vanity. The showstopper is the 300x600 feature wall tile in a crisp white, textured to mimic a finger mosaic—without the grout lines. Warm brushed nickel tapware and an alabaster bench complement the tiles perfectly.

The finishing touch? Keeping the original ball-drop pendant light, which adds a charming nod to the room’s past while perfectly framing its fresh, contemporary update.
