Powder Room & Laundry
The design vision for this project was to create spaces that honour the heritage character of the home while introducing a sense of sophistication, personality, and everyday luxury. Through the careful layering of colour, texture, and materiality, each space has been thoughtfully designed to feel timeless, elegant, and uniquely tailored to the way the family lives.
The powder room concepts were developed as a special retreat within the home - a space designed to feel distinctly different from the rest of the household. With a house full of boys, the client wanted an area that felt feminine, indulgent, and a little glamorous, while still remaining sympathetic to the home's traditional architecture. Rich tinted wall finishes create a cocooning atmosphere, adding depth, mood, and character, while statement tile selections, warm timber flooring, and custom cabinetry introduce texture and refinement.
To elevate the overall aesthetic, premium fixtures and fittings have been carefully selected throughout. Brodware tapware brings a sense of understated luxury and exceptional craftsmanship, while the Turner Hastings basin, toilet, and mirror reinforce the timeless elegance and heritage-inspired character of the space. Together, these elements create a powder room that feels sophisticated, inviting, and memorable - a space designed to impress guests while also providing a personal escape for the homeowner.
Laundry
The laundry concepts take a highly practical room and transform it into a beautifully resolved and functional part of the home. Rather than feeling purely utilitarian, the laundry has been designed as an extension of the home's interior aesthetic, incorporating custom cabinetry, bold material selections, and feature tiling that bring warmth and personality to the space. Carefully curated finishes, including natural stone-inspired surfaces and richly coloured cabinetry, create a layered and visually engaging environment that balances beauty with durability.
Functionality remained at the forefront of the design process, with a strong focus on maximising storage, improving workflow, and creating generous bench space for daily tasks. The custom cabinetry has been thoughtfully designed to provide practical storage solutions whilst maintaining a seamless and refined appearance. A dedicated area for the family dog has also been integrated into the design, ensuring the space caters to every member of the household without compromising on style.
Together, these concepts create interiors that are rich in character, practical in application, and enduring in their appeal. The result is a collection of spaces that celebrate the home's heritage while introducing a fresh, elevated aesthetic through custom joinery, premium fixtures, bold colour choices, and carefully curated materials that will stand the test of time.
